About the project
On this particular job, our engineers attended a site which has a BFT underground system which was fitted rather poorly. There were a number of none IP rated underground wiring connections which were causing this system to malfunction in a number of ways.
Motor box's had poorly fitted drainage causing the motors to fill up with water, this didn't help the micro switch's or the poorly done in ground motor box wiring connection.
As a fix we offered 2 options:
Option 1: ROGER underground kit with kit a twist, the underground kit would use the ever reliable SUB motors, these motors have been tested by roger in a fish tank on constant load for years and they have never failed due to water ingress!
Option 2: The chosen option, the ROGER be20/400 double leaf kit! This option would mean removing the underground kit and tarmacking where the ground box's used to reside. This option would remove the water ingress issues most underground systems face on a slope. Once we re-wired the system and raj new cables it's safe to say there will last for years!
